Woodstock police received two custom-made Tumi tigers stuffed toys from an electrical and plumbing company in Woodstock last Wednesday July 1.
The Tumi tiger, which is a talking stuffed toy, will go towards the police station’s victims empowerment programme (VEP) that provides free counselling and support to victims of trauma.
The VEP also received a donation of 40 tiger face masks from a fashion retailer.
Acting station commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Alroy van der Berg, says Tumi the talking tiger shares uplifting audio stories designed for children who face life with trauma, illness, poverty and disability, to counsel, comfort and encourage. He expressed thanks for the donation.
