The “Auntie Gertie Centenary celebration” will be held on Sunday December 16, at 6pm, at the Baxter Theatre Centre.
The event is free to all Gertie’s past students and extended families. From 1952 to 1985, Gertrude Haas taught music/singing to many children around Cape Town. Every year she would put on big variety shows, featuring hundreds of children, raising money for various charities.
