Cape Town police arrested two men, aged 32 and 33, in District Six, on Saturday, April 3, for being in possession of stolen property and an imitation firearm.
Captain Ezra October of Cape Town Central police says the men were arrested around 2am on Saturday morning at Springfield Terrace.
The stolen property included a laptop, cellphone, backpack, clothing and USB cables.
Captain October says police also found one imitation firearm.
“Upon further investigation it was discovered that the items which were found belonged to a student who was robbed with a firearms in Tennant street at 11.30pm on Friday April 2 not far from where the suspects were found.”
Captain October says the victim identified all the belongings.
“There are still other suspects outstanding while the suspects in custody must still be linked to the robbery with the firearm,” he said.
