The City of Cape Town has warned of delays in refuse collection in areas serviced by Woodstock Collections Depot after a staff member at the depot tested positive for Covid-19.
The facility has been temporarily closed for the next few days for deep cleaning and disinfecting. This includes disinfecting the facility and vehicles.Â
Those who have been in contact with the staff member have been placed in self-quarantine to monitor their symptoms.
However, the City says contingency plans are in place to ensure that operations and service delivery continue as far as possible.
Residents who live in Bishopscourt, CBD Trade, Claremont, Dunoon, Facreton/ Thornton, Gardens, Gardens – Trade, Harfield Village, Kenilworth, Kensington, Kenwyn, Langa, Lansdowne, Milnerton, Milnerton Ridge, Pinelands, Rondebosch, Royal Ascot, Sea Point, Summer Greens, West Beach, Woodstock, are requested to please keep their bins on their properties until their next scheduled removal day, next week.Â
