Applications are open for Rape Crisis Athlone’s training and development volunteer course, which starts on Tuesday February 7.
The course trains volunteers to educate the community abut rape.
Volunteers who have completed the course run workshops and give talks at a variety of venues.
They also train high school peer educators to become leaders who challenge rape myths and stereotypes in their schools.
The training will take place at 335A Klipfontein Road, Grassroots Building, Gatesville, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 6pm to 9pm.
The closing date for applications is Friday January 13.
