New Year’s Day babies

Mowbray Maternity Hospital was the first to ring in the New Year with a baby boy born at exactly midnight, weighing 3.3kg and 51cm in length, to mother Zahraah Abrahams. The second was a boy born at 00.13am at Paarl Hospital, weighing 3 650g and 55cm in length, to mother Noluyeye Plati. The third, a girl born at 00.16am at Worcester Community Day Centre, weighing 2 800g and 45cm in length, to mother Mellody Bhulawa.
