Homeless help

The homeless frequently sleep under the Dean Street bridge in Newlands. This week, a homeless person was spotted using the DA campaign poster featuring Ward 59 councillor Ian Iversen as a blanket. Contacted this week, Mr Iversen said: “One of the five DA election commitments is to achieve a caring society. I am pleased that I have been able to contribute to his welfare! The next step will be to get the council’s social services staff to find him and to see what they can do to get him off the streets.”
