JP Chan, Vredehoek
As a pensioner, I am so thankful and grateful for the care I received from Groote Schuur Hospital medical staff.
It was very comforting to know that my well-being was in the hands of some very good teams.
Being elderly, I had certain reservations and concerns going into my operations. I do, however, firmly believe you made a frightening and stressful experience less traumatic for me.
I would like to take a moment to thank you and your team for the exceptional care I received throughout all three of my surgeries. Your attention, assistance and care through these difficult times really made all the difference.
Post surgery was painful and physically uncomfortable but these doctors and their teams never hesitated to answer all my questions. Their genuine warmth and care were evident.
Throughout the issues I had the week following my surgeries, all the doctors and staff were patient and attentive. The help and kindness I received was simply exemplary. One could not have hoped for more.
I can’t say enough good things about the team. God has blessed you all with not only your skills, but also with hearts to match. You will forever be remembered.
With much gratitude and compliments of the season to all who were involved throughout my medical assistance, including those whom I may have not mentioned in this letter. I wish you all sincere blessings particularly to the following people who went above and beyond what is expected and who deserve to be recognised: at the orthopaedic clinic for my right arm, Professor Stephen Roche, Dr Michael Held, Nellie Pearl van Neel, Ms E Brown, Chantell and Nicky. For my hand, Professor Solomon, Dr Mc.Guire, Dr Ooms, Dr Boskovic, PN Jiking3 (physio), Dawood (physio), Karin Volschenk, Busiswe Naxwe, Lwandile Mnqaula, Mamsi Gade, Nurse Andile Mbita and Mr Mnunu.
