Conservationist Tania Morkel led a frog walk in Keurboom Park, Rondebosch, on Monday night, talking about the clicking stream frog and its habitat in the park.
“This walk is important in informing the public about the plight of these frogs,” she said. “These frogs are bio-indicators. They will tell us what is wrong with the water. Because they breathe through their skin, they will pick up any chemicals in the air and water. When a frog species doesn’t exist, it tells us there is something wrong with the water.
