Ward 59 councillor Ian Iversen and scores of Rondebosch residents celebrated Arbor Week a little early this year by planting 15 trees – Cape ash and mahogany – in College Road, last Thursday. This year Arbor Week is from Monday August 31 to Saturday September 5. Councillor Iversen said they had planted the trees early to take advantage of the more plentiful winter rainfall.
