The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are back until Sunday April 2 with a line-up which has something for everyone.
Back by popular demand are Jimmy Nevis, Mango Groove, The Parlotones, Prime Circle, Mi Casa, The Soil, Cape Town Folk ‘* Acoustic Music Festival, Goldfish, The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, Zonke, Lira, Jeremy Loops, Dan Patlansky, The Soil and Just Jinjer.
There are some interesting duos in the mix, including the Parlotones’ Khan Morbee who will be on stage with Richard Stirton. Richard was the 2016 winner of the Voice South Africa. Johnny Clegg and Slow Jack share the stage, as do Matthew Mole and Jesse Clegg, Karen Zoid and Francois van Coke, Shortstraw and Al Bairre, and sibling duo Bobby and Karlien van Jaarsveld.
The collaboration on Sunday December 4 will be between Beatenberg and Opposite the Other.
Beatenberg won six SAMA awards last year, including Best Pop Album, Group of the Year and Album of the Year. Opposite the Other are an Alt-Pop band based in Cape Town. Their Bastille, Twenty One Pilots and Coldplay influenced sound has led to sold out shows.
