The Sunny Side Montessori pre-school in Claremont has spent the past week collecting items that can help those affected by the wild fire on Table Mountain.
Principal Caitlin Munnik says the children took an interest in what happened last week with the fires, the firefighters, the smoke and helicopters. “We discussed who was affected by the fire and what they may need and the parents of Sunny Side Montessori all generously contributed to the donations. The children helped sort out the various items which included canned food, toiletries, water, non-perishable foods and health bars.
