Sarah Jacobs, of Pinelands, who works as a nurse for a company that produces reusable pads, and Lonese Jacobs, from the South African Society of Physiotherapy, distributed reusable pads to the Saartjie Baartman Centre in Athlone, the Haven Night Shelter in Green Point, Streetscapes Community Project in Roeland Street, the Safespace near the Foreshore and the Ladles of Love soup kitchen in St George’s Mall. “The pad sterilises itself during use and after wash, provides protection against infections and can be used for at least five years,” says Sarah. If anybody would like more information about the reusable pads they can email 4sarahjacobs@gmail.com .
