The Tshisimani Centre for Activist Education in Mowbray held a Youth Arts Festival on Saturday August 31.Young people from various organisations prepared short plays on what freedom means 25 years into democracy. The centre’s
co-ordinator, Alex Sutherland, said the aim was to ask the youth what they cared about in the world and what they wanted to change. “The arts are a wonderful platform for the youth to tell their stories and made their voices heard,” she said.
