* Amber da Decker, of Herschel Girls’ Senior School, and Angus Thring, of Bishops, flew to Johannesburg where they met six other young South African scientists participating in an international science competition in Phoenix, Arizona, this week. The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. More than 1 700 high school pupils from more than 75 countries, regions and territories showcase their research as they compete for approximately $4million in prizes.
