An operation by Woodstock police and other law enforcement agencies at three houses in Wright Street during the early hours of Monday February 13, uncovered 21 shotgun rounds, six parcels of dagga, 12 dagga stoppe and one dagga tree.
The houses were cordoned off and searched at about 4am.
Sergeant Hilton Malila, spokesperson for Woodstock police, said four suspects were arrested during the raid for various charges relating to possession of drugs and stolen property and cultivating of dagga, and one was arrested for an outstanding case.
Sergeant Malila said they were due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Wednesday February 15.
Woodstock police also conducted a road block and issued fines to the amount of R31 400.
“These sorts of operations will be done on a continues basis in the Cape Town Cluster,” said Sergeant Malila.
