Vine School puts on Shakespeare fair

Vine School pupils dressed in Shakespearean outfits for the fair.

Vine School pupils performed Shakespearean sonnets and extracts from The Bard’s Twelfth Night during the school’s Shakespeare fair on Saturday. Other activities included a tug-of-war, a sword fight, an acrobatics display and a maypole dance.

Dressed for the occasion are Vine School teachers, from left, Tracey Zyster, Petra Myburgh, Aulyn Gandanzara, Jean Louw, Nikki Olivier, Janice Thorne-Smith and Leverne de Klerk.

Vine School Grade 3 pupil Boitumelo Moloi supported by her mother, Sonto Moloi, and father, Molefi Lenyatsa, at the fair.

Acrobatic duo Mark Chavula and his daughter, Shyleen, a Grade 6 Vine School pupil, put on an impressive display.
