On Tuesday September 19, a truck which lost control collided with seven vehicles on Salt River main road, bringing traffic to a standstill.
Bystanders rushed to assist one woman who was stuck inside her vehicle before paramedics arrived.
It is said that the driver of the truck tried to make way for a bakkie and in doing so, he turned and lost control of the vehicle.
Woodstock SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Hilton Malila, confirmed the incident and said that one woman and two children were seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
“The road was partly closed off for about two hours. No one was killed in the accident, but it is believed that a heavy duty truck lost control and caused damaged to seven vehicles,” Segeant Malila.
