■ The Top Trump Cape Town final was held at Readers Warehouse Tokai on October 20. Fritz Freiman from Sea Point Primary was the winner. Top Trumps is an educational, social and competitive card game, based around a wide range of factual areas. It was invented in the UK in the 1970s, and was originally about cars but now covers everything from Snakes to Star Wars, Wonders of the World to WWE. For its first year in South Africa, 70 schools form Gauteng and the Western Cape registered for the tournament.
