Ed Wittert, a resident of Rosedale Service Centre in Rosebank, together with members of Talking Heads Toastmasters, launched the inaugural toastmasters meeting at the home last week. Ed, a former Toastmasters member, was keen to start a Toastmasters club in the home so that residents can enjoy public speaking and hone their leadership skills. He says that as seniors, they have so many rich stories to share with one another.Talking Heads Toastmasters members will lend support to Rosedale to establish a club at the home.Talking Heads Toastmasters meet on the first Thursday of each month, at Salisburys, corner of Aubrey Street and Briar Road, Salt River, at 6.30pm.
