Babs Pienaar, Claremont
I went to Spar in Rosmead Avenue on Saturday morning, June 30.
I was in a hurry and it was drizzling.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw an “informal” car guard.
As I was walking to Spar, I heard the car guard calling me, but I just carried on walking. The calling came closer and as I turned around, he was standing behind me with my purse in his hand.
I was shocked to discover that I had dropped my purse and all I could say was “you are wonderful, you are wonderful, thank you” and then gave him some cash.
What a pleasant surprise that you still get honest people.
I was so relieved that I bought the car guard, Mark, a pie and gave him more cash.
Well done, Mark, and thank you once again for your honesty.
