Abbotts College, in Claremont, held its annual talent show, Abbotts Live, earlier this month to raise money for student Lerato Lisoetsa, who needs new prosthetic legs. Lerato contracted a rare disease as a toddler that crippled her arms and legs. “Amputation, grafts, and subsequent painful procedures, have been endured by this brave young lady,” said school spokeswoman Arlene Brown. The talent show raised R2000 while the school and private donors contributed more than R25 000. Email abrown@abbotts.co.za or call 021 671 1173, for more information.
