Sports stacking is a fast growing sport which is governed by the World Sport Stacking Association in North America and The Vine School is adopting this activity, much to the enjoyment of the pupils.
Sport stacking is also known as cup stacking.
All children at The Vine play this game from Grade RR to Grade 7 and their skills have grown tremendously over the past year. This fun and intense game actually “forces” the child to cross the mid-line with their hands as well as their eyes. This engages the right and left hemispheres of the brain and paves the way for higher learning concepts. Cup stacking improves visual processing skills and reading ability as the child’s eyes track the movement of both cups and hands.
