Sans Souci Girls’ High School celebrated Women’s Day with a special assembly last Wednesday, a day before the public holiday.
Three guest speakers were invited to address the pupils including struggle stalwart Amy Thornton; former Sans Souci pupil Janine le Roux, of The Sunflower Fund, and community worker Vivian Zilo. The assembly included musical and dance performances by pupils
while cultural group Thula Sizwe sang and danced and the Peer Leaders did a dramatic display of positive messages. The Grade 10
pupils gave each Grade 12 pupil a chocolate to wish them well as they prepare for their exams and all the female staff were called on to the stage and given a chocolate from the girls.
