Six injured in three taxi accidents

Three separate taxi collisions on the N2 at Raapenberg Road, in Pinelands, left six people injured on Monday morning September 5.

ER24 paramedics arrived on all three scenes and found that taxis had been involved in all three accidents.

On the first scene, a taxi had collided with the roadside barrier next to the slow lane while on the second scene, a taxi had crashed into the centre median. On the third scene, a taxi had overturned.

On assessment, paramedics discovered that five patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries, while the sixth had sustained serious injuries.

All the patients were treated and the seriously injured were provided with advanced life support treatment.

The patients were then transported to various hospitals for urgent treatment.

Local authorities were on all three scenes to investigate the cause of the collisions.
