Pinelands police are still searching for 29-year-old Previn Pillay who was reported missing last Wednesday December 30.
Speaking on behalf of his father, Dennis Pillay, a family spokesperson said Previn was last seen by the family in Pinelands on the evening of Wednesday December 23.
He had been on his way to Sea Point around 9pm in his white Toyota Hilux 1.5 cab bakkie and was never heard from again. The licence plate number of the bakkie is CA 58255. The family attempted to call him the next day, on Thursday December 24, but his phone had been disconnected.
The vehicle’s tracker was turned off on Saturday December 26.
The family is urging anyone to come forward if they have any information about Previn’s disappearance or if they have seen his vehicle.
The Western Cape Missing Persons Unit described Previn as being 1.75m tall. He has brown eyes and weighs 75kg. He also has tattoos on his back of the Hindu god Shiva and a tattoo of the Wolverine character on his left calf.
Lieutenant Colonel Anton van der Berg from Pinelands police confirmed that a missing person’s case was opened last Wednesday December 30.
He said Previn was described wearing a grey and off white T-shirt and a three quarter cargo pants.
