■ Grade 7 pupils from the Micklefield School recently took part in the 2016 Eskom Science Expo, walking away with four silver and two bronze medals. The projects at the Expo sought to solve real-world problems, with innovative thinking at the fore of the investigative process. The projects were titled Food 4 Africa; Lunchbox Leftovers; Does your birth month predict your future success in sport? and Cheap and Effective Fire Retardant Paint for Informal Settlements.
