The Sathya Sai International Organisation – Western Cape (SSIO-WC) hosted its annual Walk for Values on Sunday September 1, on the Sea Point promenade. More than 120 people took part in the event, including youth from the organisation’s Khayelitsha Sai Centre and the Rainbow of Hope Children’s home, based in Goodwood. The walk was part of a National Walk for Values event, which also took place in eight other cities across the country, to raise awareness about the values of love, peace, truth and non-violence. Participants were encouraged to identify areas for personal growth and pledge to practise values not only for self-transformation but also collectively for social, environmental and global reformation. SSIO-WC has centres in Rylands, Milnerton,Somerset West and Khayelitsha.Â
