Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital is asking the public to bring a little Christmas cheer to children in hospital at this time of year.
Dr Anita Parbhoo, the hospital’s acting chief executive officer, said the festive season could be a difficult time for children in hospital.
“For those who have given to the hospital in the past, please consider making this festive season brighter for our young patients,” she said.
The hospital is asking for donations of toys and food parcels.
The hospital’s annual Christmas parade, which includes entertainment and gifts for patients, was cancelled this year because of Covid-19.
Dr Parbhoo said the hospital was no longer affiliated with the Friends of the Children’s Hospital Association (FOCHA).
