It was distressing to hear about the sorry saga of the slapping of the pupil at Sans Souci Girls’ High School (‘Slap’ teacher faces discipline, Tatler February 7). I feel that the main blame must go to the mother or parents.
So many parents today do not teach their children to have respect for their elders.
It was disgusting that the child did not obey the teacher. What sort of home does she come from?
To me, as a long-term teacher, she deserved a good slap.
I also think it is shocking that children are so quick to film these events that go viral.
It was wonderful to read that fellow pupils supported the teacher. Good for them.
