Office closed

Sharon Cottle, Ward 58 councillor

As you know due to the lockdown, effective as of last Thursday March 26, the ward office will be closed.

The City will still be providing basic services to all our residents.

Services might be running late due to the impact of the Covid-19 virus, but they will be rendered. I’m therefore asking you to please be patient and bear with us during the lockdown period.

Refuse collection is a big concern for all residents and we ask you to please leave your black wheelie bin outside for collection from 6.30am to 9pm. In some areas, refuse will only be collected the next day. If this extends to a third day please contact us.

You can find a vast range of information at the City of Cape Town website at ww.capetown.gov.za.

Myself and assistant Leandre Layman will be working from home during this lockdown period and will contactable by email and cellphone. My number is 082 436 3069 and Ms Layman’s is 062 460 6906. For essential services, call 086 010 3089, for disaster management call 021 597 5000, for law enforcement call 021 480 7700, for an ambulance call 10177 and for the Western Cape government, call 021 928 4102.

I want to encourage all residents to please keep safe during this lockdown period and adhere to government’s procedures to combat this virus. I want to wish everyone well and ask that you all please stay indoors.
