Woodstock singer and songwriter Luzelle Avenant released her new single, I Wanna Live, last month on Friday November 17.
“The song’s message is that we’ve been put on this earth for a greater purpose than just to live for ourselves. We need to find whatever it is that drives us and make a difference in this world,” says the 30-year-old folk rock musician who performs under her first name.
Luzelle has previously performed under the stage name Ruby June and released an EP, Reflect, in 2017 and a live album, As Is, in 2019. She started recording under her own name last year.
She is a full-time guitar teacher at Pinehurst Primary and the School Of Rock in Claremont.
“I teach one-on-one guitar lessons and lead a few rock bands with groups of varying ages, with band members ranging between the ages of 9-70.”
I Wanna Live can be found on YouTube and all major streaming platforms. She can be followed at @luzellemusic on Facebook and Instagram.
