The Ibaadur-raghmann Masjied has found a new home in Eden Road, Observatory. There were prayers at recitals from the Qur’an at the mosque’s official opening, attended by more than 300 people, on Sunday September 8. The mosque was first established by Imam Ebrahim Sep Davids in Crawford, Athlone in 1994, and was taken over by his son, Imam Ismaeel Davids, after his death in 1998. “The organisation does many social welfare projects and is involved in many communities,” said Imam Davids. Friday prayers will start at 12.45pm.
