A driver and a passenger sustained burn wounds after a MyCiTi Bus was petrol bombed in Roodebloem Road, Woodstock, last night.
The driver sustained serious injuries while the passenger sustained non-critical injuries.
Two fire engines and a rescue vehicle were dispatched to the scene.
No arrests have yet been made.
This is the sixth bus to be torched in recent weeks.
In the previous cases, no injuries were reported.
At the same time, the strike by some MyCiTi workers which started on Monday October 15 is still continuing.
The strikers are demanding better working conditions and to be in-sourced by the City of Cape Town.
The City has indicated it cannot in-source them as they are employed by the Vehicle Operating Companies (VOCs) operating the MyCiTi bus routes. Â
