Membership drive

 The Memorable Order of Tin Hats (MOTHs), an organisation for ex-servicemen and servicewomen, is looking for new members to join its Newlands-based Pip-Ack Shellhole, the organisation’s oldest shellhole, which is celebrating its 91st anniversary. Pip-Ack Shellhole seeks to uphold the MOTHs principles of “true comradeship, mutual help and sound memory”. The Order operates independently of race,religion or politics, and assists comrades in need, either financially or physically, while remembering all servicemen and women who have answered the “sunset call”.  They meet every second Sunday at 10am, at 162 Campground Road, on the corner of Thicket and Hemlock streets.
