Maths champ

Grove Primary School pupil Adam Rassou, middle, beat 36 000 pupils for the top spot at the Horizon Maths Competition held at the Baxter Theatre last Thursday. The Grade 7 pupil from Claremont dedicated his medal to his late mother and to his brothers who inspired him. Adam’s eldest brother, Emmanuel, is the reigning SA Maths Olympiad champion, having topped the national ranking no less than four times in his high school career, while his other brother, Noah, is also a top achiever having been in the top-10 of the SA Maths Olympiad nationally last year. Adam is seen with his stepmother, Kim, father Patrice, Noah and Emmanuel Rassou.
