Do any readers of this newspaper know where I can purchase magnesium metal for use in chemistry experiments in science classes? I am looking for solid magnesium metal (not magnesium ribbon), pieces of about 5 grams.
Some may recall the dramatic and fiery demonstration done previously with a magnesium sharpener. These sharpeners are no longer manufactured and nor is the magnesium fire-making flint.
I have been unsuccessful in my search, and hoped that a reader might be able to assist.
