The Korean Embassy, the Korean Association of Students of UCT and the Korean Association held a Korean Culture Night at the Saartjie Bartman hall at UCT on Saturday August 24, where guests got to sample authentic dishes, watched a Korean movie and enjoyed various performances. Sangdug Jun of the Korean Embassy said it was the first time this event was celebrated in Cape Town. “We wanted to give the Mother City and its many K-Pop followers the opportunity to experience the rich culture, film, food and music of Korean society.” K-Pop is popular music from South Korea. The event is held monthly in Pretoria. Â
