All those born to fly, or those who softly dream of flying, turned out to watch the skies over Zandvlei being painted by kites of all descriptions. The two-day Cape Town International Kite Festival is Cape Mental Health’s biggest annual fundraiser, and this was the 22nd year it has graced Muizenberg. The event brings kiters from all over the world to one arena, for one purpose: to light the faces of spectators with smiles. All proceeds from the event go to Cape Mental Health.

Craig Hansen of New Zealand travelled to Muizenberg and stayed for three weeks, so that he could fly his dragon and pig kites.
