■ Westerford High School’s staff, parents and pupils have been hard at work knitting blankets for distribution at the Zithulele Hospital in the Eastern Cape. Thirteen matrics, together with teachers Steve Anderson and Annabelle Hill left on Friday June 15 for the annual trip to the Eastern Cape where they have spent the week working alongside teachers from Axium Education in their winter wchool for Grade 10 to 12 pupils who attend under-resourced rural schools.
