Woodstock Police arrested 59 people for various crimes over the weekend.
Police arrested nine people for possession of drugs, one for fraud, one for rape, one for possession of stolen property, two for theft out of motor vehicles, two for burglary, two for robbery and 20 for minor offences.
Woodstock police spokesman Sergeant Hilton Malila said officers arrested 21 people at a roadblock in Victoria Road for drunken driving.
“We also seized eight packets of tik, five packets of dagga, seven units of unga (heroin), 70 mandrax tablets and a substantial amount of cash during a search and seizure operation in Pine Road, Woodstock,” he said.
Various fake CDs were also confiscated during the operation.
