House robbers arrested

Police arrested three people last Thursday and Friday for a house robbery in Kenwyn.

Lansdowne police spokesman Sergeant Nkululeko Mnyaka said two of the suspects were men, aged 26 and 27, and the third is a 25-year-old woman.

They are being held in connection with the robbery in Range Road on Thursday July 18.

According to Sergeant Mnyaka, the perpetrators broke into the home at 4pm, took five cellphones and R3 000 in cash and fled on foot.

Warrant Officer Gregory Grey and Sergeant Khululekile Hashe arrested the suspects based on descriptions given to them by the victim.

The woman was arrested in Albert Road on Thursday August 8 at noon and the men were apprehended on Friday at 2pm, said Sergeant Mnyaka.

All three appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Monday August 12 on charges of house robbery.

The stolen items have not been recovered yet.
