The Western Cape Cerebral Palsy Association (WCCPA) is collecting non-perishable food for its Help Fill Our Pantry project in aid of disabled residents at Rosedon House.
The home in Rondebosch East provides assisted living for 45 residents and it is one of the WCCPA’s projects.
WCCPA’s other projects include the Cerebral Palsy Clinic at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, the De Heide Special Care Centre and The Village Work Centre in Claremont.
“Rosedon House, our residential facility, is one of the projects that benefit from the goods donated as they provide full meals daily. With government budget cuts and the increase in the amount of non-governmental organisation’s operating, outside funding is further limited,” said WCCPA’s Cheryl Beaton.
“This project is targeted at donations of food items. We have found that families find it easier to donate a food item purely because they have it in their homes.”
Drop-offs of non-perishable foods can be delivered to the Village Work Centre, 11 First Avenue, Claremont. For more information, call Ms Beaton at 021 685 4150 or email cheryl@wccpa.org.za
