Firosha Fakier, Lynette Muthuray, Gadija Israel, Jade Dumas, Duniswa Sokanyile and Marilyn Boltney channel their inner hippies ahead of the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation’s hippie-themed fund-raiser at Kenwyn Primary School, on Saturday March 28, from 8pm. The event is being held by CHOC’s Sybrand Park regional branch. All female guests are encouraged to dress as hippies. Entry is R100. Snacks and drinks will be on sale and prizes are up for grabs. CHOC fund-raising manager Gadija Israel says the proceeds will support children battling cancer and rare blood disorders. The school is at 24 Kritzwald Road.
