In “Fine for UCT building breach a slap on wrist” (Tatler, September15), it was incorrectly stated that MLH Architects and Planners had asked the City’s Municipal Planning Tribunal to penalise the university for making illegal changes to student accommodation at the corner of Main Road and Woolsack Drive in Rondebosch.
In fact, MLH Architects and Planners have been appointed by UCT to obtain planning approval and, as part of that process, to apply for the determination of an administrative penalty, as required by the City.
The Tatler regrets the error.
