Don’t even leave clothes in your car

There’s been a spike in car break-ins in Claremont, with the police warning that thieves aren’t just after cellphones and laptops anymore – they will also break into your car for sunglasses and clothing. Claremont station commander Colonel Marie Louw said motorists made their cars targets by leaving anything of value in plain sight.
