Cops seize unga

Unga confiscated from a suspect.

Cape Town police arrested a 23-year-old Malawian national last Saturday in Sir Lowry Road, Woodstock, for being in possession of 359 units of unga.

According to Captain Ezra October from Cape Town police, the 32.4g of the heroin-based drug had an estimated street value of R20 000.

The unga was found in the glove compartment of the man’s car.

Captain October said that the arresting officer, Sergeant Larry Adams, suspected illegal activity near the vehicle when he was doing patrols in the area.
