Two Rondebosch police officers have been praised for a job well done for putting four dangerous criminals behind bars.
Detective Sergeant Marlon Marias tracked down two men who kidnapped and robbed a 27-year-old woman in August.
They were each handed 10-year prison sentences last month.
Rondebosch police spokesman, Warrant Officer Lyndon Sisam, said Detective Sergeant Marias had shown “dedication and persistence” in tracing the culprits.
Meanwhile two carjackers, both 36, have 12-year prison sentences ahead of them thanks to the work of Detective Sergeant John Thomas.
According to Warrant Officer Sisam, the two robbed a man of his car in Roselyn Road, in Februrary last year.
Sergeant Thomas searched the area for footage of the vehicle which led to the arrest.
