Police have arrested a 40-year-old suspected drug dealer and seized drugs worth almost R80 000 in District Six.
According to Cape Town Central police spokesman, Captain Ezra October, patrolling officers arrested the man on Thursday night September 3 after picking up a strong smell of dagga
from someone walking in Aspeling Street.
The officers followed their noses to the Springfield Terrace house of a man reputed to be a drug dealer.
The officers had found seven bags of dagga, nine bags of tik, dagga bankies, a digital scale and nearly R19 000 in cash at the house, Captain October said. “The drugs have an estimated street value of R79 000,” he said.
