Church helps sex workers

About 20 volunteers from the Claremont Baptist Church delivered 150 care packs – including toiletries, sanitary pads, hand sanitiser, beanies and water – to sex workers on the streets of Newlands, Claremont, Kenilworth, Diep River, Muizenberg and Wynberg, on Friday night June 24. “We want to send them a message to tell them that God hasn’t forgotten about them,” said Reverend Peter Cornelius, far left, who is seen here with Ashley Spannenberg, Godons Kasongo, Luxton Barthus, Elissa Ann Knighton, Camilla Mungal, Dylan Mungal and Salem Etaka.
